I know the weekend after Thanksgiving is always a mad dash to buy all of your gifts for the holidays—and it’s always incredibly tempting to just order everything from Amazon and call it a day. But one of my favorite traditions growing up in my small town was Small Business Saturday. My family and I would go to all the small businesses in town and support local by shopping in the boutiques, getting drinks and dinner in the restaurants, and handing the waiters and waitresses large tips. Our tradition this year may not be happening together, so this year I figured it would be fun to celebrate Small Business Saturday together with a shopping guide curated by me!
Small businesses need all the help they can get this year. There’s no denying that. So I want to preface this post by saying that I will not be receiving a commission from these items. I know a log of bloggers will send out gift guides with affiliate links so they can earn a commission, but given that I don’t rely on this blog to supply me with a steady income, I don’t feel the need to earn a commission from this. Instead, I want us to fully support these businesses together and either shopping through their direct websites, or through their Etsy shops.
So here are some of my favorite items I’ve curated over the past few months that you should consider supporting this Small Business Saturday.
