Prosciutto Fig Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole-grain sandwich bread
  • 1 tbsp spreadable blue cheese
  • 2 tsp fig jam
  • 3-4 slices prosciutto
  • Spreadable butter

Instructions

  • Split the blue cheese in half and spread it on both pieces of sandwich bread.
  • Spread 1 teaspoon of fig jam on top of the cheese on each slice of bread.
  • Add the prosicutto slices on one half, then close up the sandwich—fig jam and blue cheese down.
  • Spread butter on the top of the sandwich.
  • Heat up a skillet or a griddle over medium-low heat.
  • Place the grilled cheese on the skillet, buttered side facing down. Spread butter on the top slice.
  • Wait for about 2-3 minutes for the sandwich to get golden brown on one side, then flip. Wait another 2 minutes.
  • Slice in half and serve!
