Like many when the pandemic hit, I took solace in vino. Everything in my life felt completely out of control, and a glass of wine (or two) became my chosen way to destress at the end of another remote workday. Add in a little online shopping or binge-watching Gilmore Girls for a fourth time, and that’s pretty much what my evenings looked like for a while. Soon, my daily glass of wine made me feel constantly groggy and bloated. I knew something needed to change.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good drink, especially a fun cocktail. But there are so many other ways to destress after the end of a hard day that doesn’t require alcohol, binge-watching the latest Netflix show, or participating in Kate Spade’s 75% off sale…again. So I sat down and made a list of activities that I could turn to when I needed to destress, and I figured I would share my little list with all of you.
