    22 Super Bowl Recipe Ideas

    Recipes

I have a theory about why people love Super Bowl Sunday so much. Want to hear it? Well, actually, you’ll have to—you’re kind of already here. Okay, here it is: People love Super Bowl Sunday because there’s something for everyone. If you like football (more importantly, Tom Brady meltdowns), you have football. If you like whacked-out crazy commercials, you got commercials. And if you like food, boy oh boy, you got yourself some good food. So I’m here to help you out with that. Not the Tom Brady meltdowns (though I’m secretly hoping for one this Sunday), but some fun Super Bowl recipe ideas you can make this weekend.

    super bowl recipe ideas

When it comes to the Super Bowl, the name of the game is finger foods. Foods you can easily plop on a plate and eat that doesn’t slosh around too much in case you quickly jump from the couch cheering for your team. We’re talking jalapeño poppers, buffalo chicken dip, nachos, flatbreads, and easy-to-grab desserts.

Now the Super Bowl airs in the evening (at least for the East Coast, which means it’s also a great time to serve some kind of dinner food. When I watch the Super Bowl, I’m into all of those bar food classics you crave when you watch the game. Chicken wings, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, chili, and oh yes, some good ol’ mac and cheese.

As for drank, beer. Duh. I’ll probably be sipping on an IPA because that’s the exact beer I go for when I’m chowing down on bar food. But if you’re looking for something *classier* on your Super Bowl Sunday, I’ve listed a few of my easy cocktails. Cocktails that just make sense for the type of food you’ll be serving.

And with that, let’s dig into these Super Bowl recipe ideas. Or should we go long? I don’t know, think of a funny football pun as you scroll through this list.
