I guess you can say there are quite a few perks about working in food media…particularly all of the fun snacks you get to try. And while there have been a few bad “eggs” (snacks) in the past, there are a few snacks that I’m particularly obsessed with. So I figured it would be fun to share a few of my favorite snacks to stock up on with all of you—and give you a few links to stock up yourself.
IQBar
Apparently, they make you smarter? I’ll take it! As you can see from the label, these IQBars have all sorts of brain nutrients and plant-based protein in them. I will warn you that they are pea protein-based, so if you’re not into that type of texture, you may not like these bars. But I’m super into that type of plant-based protein, and I’m obsessed with all of these flavors. Not pictured: Peanut Butter Chip. Why? Because I devoured it immediately.
You can buy a pack of 12 with their Chocolate Lovers Variety box, or their Fruit Lovers Variety box for $23.99.
NibMor Dark Chocolate
After I finish up lunch, I crave chocolate. It’s such a funny craving to me that I get every single day. And while I do love myself a good dessert every now and then (I keep buying boxes of ice cream sandwiches…), sometimes I just need a little chocolate fix to get me through, and these NibMor chocolates are perfect. Each little square is around 40 calories each, which satisfies my craving and doesn’t totally overdo the sugar. I know from experience if I overdo it on sugar I feel like crap the rest of the workday.
You can grab six bags of your favorite flavor for $31.50. I personally am a huge fan of the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt.
Mini Snacking Cheese
Was anyone else obsessed with those mini Baybel cheeses when you were a kid? They were one of my favorite things mom would throw in my lunchbox. Having a bag of these mini snacking cheeses in my fridge is like an ode to the lunchbox days, and they satisfy me when I’m feeling peckish.
Right now you can’t buy these types of mini snacking cheeses on Amazon, but they are available through Imperfect Foods. Sign up and receive $10 off your first box here!
Bada Bean Bada Boom
Okay, so this company has so many flavors to choose from. I’ve tasted all of the different Bada Bean Bada Boom flavors at this point, and I have to admit, these four flavors are by far my favorite. Can you tell I like savory crunchy snacks by looking at these flavors? Not pictured: Garlic & Onion—another classic, delicious flavor.
Try all the different flavors yourself with this pack of 10 large snack bags for $30.99.
Blue Diamond Gourmet Almonds
So these are the kind of nuts I love to have on hand when I’m throwing together a mini charcuterie board. I admit I’m not a huge fan of nuts. But when they are flavored like this? Yeah, count me in. I would say I’m a fan of all the different Gourmet Almond flavors, but these two really stand out to me.
Try all four flavors yourself for $29.99
Shrewd Food
Okay so…I realize that I’ve shared a few keto snacks on here. Guys, I’m not keto. I just like these snacks! Does that make me weird? I have no idea why I like them, I mean, my friends make fun of keto snacks. But these two in particular—the Shrewd Food Brick Oven Pizza Puffs and the Dark Chocolate D!ppers—are just…yummy yummy in my tummy.
You can buy an 8-pack of each for $14.99
Tone It Up Protein Bars
Specifically the Peanut Butter Chocolate flavor! I really, really love these. Every time I’m in Target I snag a box. They’re the perfect little salty, sweet snack when you’re craving some chocolate but don’t want a full-on dessert. Or if you know you need to full up on some protein after a workout and you don’t want to blend up a smoothie. This is usually my go-to post-workout fuel.
You can buy 1 box of bars for $8.99, or 3 boxes of bars for $21.57. Each box comes with four bars.
