In my opinion, cheap meals mean fewer ingredients. If there’s less that you have to buy, then you are spending less, which means it’s a cheaper meal. That’s why I love to turn to my list of five-ingredient meals when I need to be tighter with my budget. And just because they are cheap meals to make doesn’t mean they are any less delicious.
Now here’s the best part about making meals with only five ingredients: You probably already have a lot of those ingredients at home. Some of these ingredients include those pantry staples like flour, spices, milk, cheese, and much more. So when you pick out what to make, be sure to check your pantry to see if you already have some of the items. You’ll be able to save even more money by doing that simple check!
Second, not all of these meals have five ingredients—some have less! That beautiful gnocchi recipe? It only requires three-ingredients. So while the title of this blog entry does say five ingredients, some of them are even less. Read: cheaper.
In this list of cheap meals you’re going to find recipes that work for all times of the day. There’s a mix of dinner recipes, lunch recipes, breakfast recipes, and even some snack and dessert recipes. Whatever the type of meal you are in need of, I tried to find something that will work for you.
I’ll continue to add to this list as time goes on, so be sure to check back in for more recipes, or even pin this to your Pinterest board for later.
